FAQs

SeleniumConf brings together Selenium and WebDriver ecosystem developers & enthusiasts from around the world to share ideas, socialize, and work together on advancing the present and future success of the project and automated testing.

If you, or your company (or team) have an interest in learning about automated testing or improving your existing software delivery practice, SeleniumConf is for you! The conference is community-driven and led by volunteers, with a mission to provide actionable information and insights that you can put to use immediately following the conference.

We’ve got you covered! Album here.

Tickets are now on sale and will be available until the conference opens, or all seats are sold. There are two ticket types, Conference + Workshop, and Conference only. The Conference + Workshop tickets will give you access to one of four full-day pre-conference workshops that will be held on Tuesday, March 28. You will need to select the workshop you wish to attend at the time you register. If space is available, you may contact the conference organizers to switch your workshop up until March 21, 2023. The Conference only pass provides access to all keynote and track presentations on Wednesday and Thursday, March 29-30.

At this point we do not anticipate making tickets available on-site.

Yes! Both the Selenium project and the SeleniumConf organizers very much want everyone to be able to attend the conference, but we know that not everyone’s personal or financial circumstances make this possible – so, we’re setting aside a minimum of six free tickets as part of our scholarship program, as well as covering travel and lodging expenses for selected applicants.

Originally inspired by RubyConf, we also offer to pair our scholars with a guide if they’d like one. A guide is an experienced member of the community and will be a friendly face at the conference, there to help make sure you get the best out of your conference experience and to introduce you to other people at the event.

The program aims to support individuals from underrepresented groups in tech and those facing economic or social hardship to have access to brilliant content and networking opportunities. If you’re an aspiring software professional looking to use Selenium, or a current one without access to the funds to buy your ticket, you should apply. We will award tickets to people who can show that the knowledge gained will be useful for their ongoing career.

Scholarship applications will be accepted between now and 1 February, 2023. Apply here.

All workshops, keynotes and track presentations announced to date can be found on the agenda page of the website.

While Chicago currently has no COVID-19 related vaccination, mask, travel and gathering restrictions or requirements, the SeleniumConf organizers will be putting measures in place to help attendees protect themselves and others, including making masks available, providing hand sanitation stations, and ensuring that the hotel staff focus on enhanced hotel cleaning practices and workplace protocols to meet the new health and safety challenges and expectations presented by COVID-19.

We strongly encourage attendees to follow simple health guidance and staying up to date with vaccines.
